| Being able to teach online through interactive methods allows me to
keep my costs to a minimum. Unlike learning centres where you have to physically attend, I do not have to rent a building, hire staff or pay for a franchise. There are no transportation costs involved either. As sole proprietor I do my own office and marketing work. |

Tutoring costs are free of charge for the first session. After that the cost is $17.50 per session. Sessions usually last between 45 minutes and 90 minutes depending on the needs of the student. Payment options which have worked in the past include paying for every set of five sessions after service. What has worked well in the past is a process where the student sends me questions he is working on, I work on them and prepare for the class. I ask him to work on them too and send me an attempt at the problems. Then we meet online and I give guidance and answer his concerns. I charge $15.00 an hour for offline work and find that generally it requires an hour of preparation for a single session. I can ship the student a writing tablet for which I ask for a refundable deposit of $80 and rent out at $5 per hour of tutoring. Alternatively you may purchase the tablet from me for $80. I accept a cheque, Interac email money transfer or Paypal which can be seen at paypal. |
